How it works




Simple & Intuitive Interface:


The app’s home screen dynamically adjusts based on your travel and health needs. A dashboard will display your current insurance status, and coverage abroad.

The main menu in TravelBuddy is accessible throughout the app and provides users with direct access to all essential features and personal settings.

Opening the app for the first time:


When opening the app for the first time, users are guided through a lightweight onboarding experience. This helps personalize their profile while respecting their time and privacy.

  3. Last Name
  4. Email Address
  5. Password
  6. Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (required checkbox)
  7. This ensures all profiles are tied to real identities and meet compliance for secure account creation.

Account Creation & Access


What’s required:


  1. To create an account, users must enter:

  3. Last Name
  4. Email Address
  5. Password

  7. This ensures all profiles are tied to real identities and meet compliance for secure account creation.

Insurance Setup


During the onboarding process, via the “My Insurances” section Required fields for verification:


To ensure accurate validation with the insurance provider, users must input:


  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • State of Residence
  • Insurance Company Name
  • Member ID

Insurance Status Handling


After users provide their insurance details (name, DOB, gender, state, insurer, and member ID), TravelBuddy checks eligibility and coverage status in real time. Depending on the result, the app either displays a coverage card or a custom screen.

Security Settings


Users can take full control over their account’s safety by managing:


  • Password changes
  • Enable/disable 2FA
  • Enable/disable SMS verification
  • Permanently delete account (with confirmation flow)





Questions and support





Profile Management


Under My Profile, users can:


View and edit personal details (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Preferred Language) .

Update optional fields they skipped during onboarding



Resetting Your Password


If a user forgets their password:


They enter their email to initiate a reset

A secure reset link is sent to their inbox

If the link has expired (24 hours), a clear message is shown and they can request a new one

On successful reset, a confirmation notification message reassures users that the process is complete
